NLW champion Sean "Maxer" Brennan commented exclusivly to NLW.com recently, regarding his match against Joey Cabray on August 23rd: "This will be the first time ever I've faced Joey. His attitude has changed alot over the past year and not for the better in my opinion. He dis-respects the fans which sucks. I know he'll put obticales in my way. He has slimely friends who will go out of their way to help him win, like Jamie Coleman and Georgie Mac and even his valet Raquel. But I promise I will walk into my hometown in Naas and Champion and leave as Champion. Cabray... you won't be taking MY belt on August 23rd".

(20-7-08) NLW "BLAST FROM THE PAST" PHOTO OF THE WEEK:

At NLW's first show in August 2006, Jamie Coleman became involved in a war of words with Alex Breslin, NLW's only female wrestler at the time. The two disagreed on what place women should have in wrestling. Coleman believed they had NO PLACE at all. This war of words became physical in October 2006 when the two met in a "Loser Leaves NLW" match. Breslin overcame the efforts on Coleman (who had even managed to get his friend at the time, Anthony Idol made the referee) and managed to beat him causing him to leave NLW. He would however be brought back into NLW in January 2007 when he managed to get Breslin to sign a statement saying she welcomed him back (She was being held down by the 7 foot Tron at the time, thanks to a pay-off from Coleman). Coleman had apparently made an agreement with management that is Breslin would concur to it, he would be welcomed back. Pictured above is Coleman in control of their only ever match at Halloween Slam, October '06.

(14-7-08) NLW "BLAST FROM THE PAST" PHOTO OF THE WEEK:

Pictured above is the promotional poster for the first ever time NLW appeared in Naas. On September 29th 2006, No Limit Wrestling and NWA Ireland joined forces to present NLW Vs. NWA, a show comprised of matches promoted by both NLW and NWA with a feature contest of "All Star" Anthony Idol representing NLW, against Sean "Maxer" Brennan representing NWA. The two fought to a thrilling 40 minute draw.
(7-7-08) NLW "BLAST FROM THE PAST" PHOTO OF THE WEEK:

For the 3rd week running, nolimitwrestling.com presents it's "Blast from the Past, Photo of the Week". This week, current NLW stars "All Star" Anthony Idol and Joey Cabray are pictured in the famous "CPW Mellon Incident". Back in february 2006, Celtic Pro Wrestling ran a show in which Idol and Cabray went one on one in the opener. Towards the end of the match, Cabray noticed a Watermellon at ringside. The mellon had been used as a backstage rib on Cabray earlier in the day. Getting his own back, he proceeded to nail Idol with the watermellon during the closing moments of the match. The show caused the giant fruit to shatter over Idol's head, and was fatal enough to leave him laying for Cabray's 3 count. Idol was left laying in a pool of watermellon. Most found the incident hilarious, even Idol himeself. Although then CPW owner Blake Norton found the whole thing offensive. NLW was formed some months later by Cabray, Jamie Coleman (who was Idol's bodyguard/manager during the above match) and Alex Breslin. This would be all three's last apperance for CPW for almost two years, as well as Idol's. NLW now have a friendly relationship with CPW. Blake Norton is no longer associated with the group.

(20-6-08) TEAM MEGA SPLIT AT NLW DOUBLE SHOT:
It was on April 12th of this year when NLW Presented "Double Shot" in the Moat Theatre in Naas, Co. Kildare. The day would see 2 massive shows in one day. In show one, during a 3 Way Tag Match, it became evident that Team Mega, Justin Farrell and Danny Butler were not seeing eye to eye as they normally do. A Team for over 5 years, it would all come to head in show 2 when Farrell turned on long time team mate Butler. The two would end up brawling all over the arena until eventually Butler got the upper hand on Farrell and nailed him with a vicious spine buster which would see Farell left out-cold. Nothing has been resolved since and it would seem that a match between the two will have to happen eventually, either on NLW soil or perhaps NWA Ireland ground where the two became a team together. Many believe that the two will compete in the rumoured No DQ match at NLW's 2nd Anniversary show on August 23rd.
